Do You See Yourself In 5 Years Time? Written by Rohani
What
or who am I going to be in the next 5 years’ time? I asked the same question to
myself when I was 17 years old. Back then when I was 17 years old, I have no
idea on what will my ambition be even though I wanted to become a doctor but
too bad I was not a Science Stream student, so I need to forget about it. All I
wanted to do is to get good result in SPM with no failed subjects. Later on, I
got into National Service which is located in Perlis for almost 3 months and
surprisingly, that was my first time ever for me to leave my parents. While in
the National Service, I was taught to be independent and I started to mingle
around with different type of people. Besides that, I was trained to be like a
soldier because my coaches are real soldiers and I managed to visit Air Force base
in the Alor Star, and that was the moment I decided to become air force army. I
saw the way how the air force armies trained, their discipline life, they can
fly on the air, their tidy and smart uniforms, and I love them so much! No
doubt!
After that almost 3 months training in the
National Service, I finally got back home and my determination to be an air
force still strong. The result for SPM is finally released, and amazingly, I
passed all the subjects without failed and I was quite happy. Hard work does
pay! Just after that, my mother decided for me to join nursing. YES! NURSING!
As any other children and teenagers, I did not argue or discuss to my parents
about what I really wanted to be. So I just obey to whatever my mother wanted
me to be. I went to the interview at the Lam WahEe Nursing College and
remarkably I passed the interview when not many of the candidates get through
it. I was fully sponsored with RM60,000 with 5 years of working contract with
Lam WahEe Hospital plus all the facilities was well provided. I learnt many new
things as a nursing student. It was the toughest moment ever for me to go
through because first, I was not a Science Stream student which means I do not
have any basic of Chemistry, Biology and Physics subjects. Secondly, there were
too many intelligent students in my class and swear to God, I felt like I was
the most stupid student ever! Thirdly, I could not cope with the stress where
by all of the students need to sit for 3 exams per semester. Can you imagine
that?! And the final exam result will determine whether I stay or I get terminated.
Besides than having the exams, I had to do practical in the ward which mean I
need to deal with the real patients and I was provided marks for that too. What
an “amazing” journey for a 18 years old teenager isn’t it?
After sitting for the final exam, now real
deal, the results! Guess what? I failed the exams and I got terminated from the
college which makes me confused whether I suppose to get happy or sad because I
make my parents disappointed on me. But I was so lucky because my parents
understand me well and they can finally realize this is not what I wanted to
be. While thinking of what step to take next, I decided to work as a sales
assistant in a sports wear shop. In there, I leant a little bit on how to
communicate with customers and trying to understand their needs.
My life as a 19 years old teenager went smoothly
until the day my beloved father passed away in the year 2012 and the real life
struggle about to start now! My world was totally dark and I have no idea how
my life and my mother’s life would be without my father. There are only 2 of us
and we can only depend on each other. So after few months after my father left
me, my mother asked me to join college and choose any course I like. I chose
Business Administration for my Diploma program and since that the real pain and
struggle started. On the first semester during the Diploma, my mother fell in
sick and almost died for twice. How cruel life can be?! Despite of this, I
still continue my diploma course even though I failed few subjects and finally
I managed to graduate. It was the moment where I eventually realize what my
goals are and started to work on it. I decided to continue to Degree in
Business Management because I realize how important education for my future and
most importantly, I want to make my father and mother proud of me plus to
encourage me as I looked down on myself previously.
Now, it is my final year of Degree and I
already have clear goals for my future. I can see where I standing in the next
5 years which mean I am 28 years old. I am planning to continue Master in
Management after I graduate from Degree, most probably end of this year. As a
part time worker in the Coffee Bean for almost 3 years, I had learned on how to
communicate not only with the customers but with the entire team including the
Managers. I learned on how to manage the operation and things about management.
It is an advantage for me in the future because I have experiences on
management. I had always wanted to work in the hotel line, so I will make sure
I join any hotels to gain experience and knowledge about management. In the
next 5 years, I will and I want to work in the higher position where by I able
to motivate others and become a good leader. Leadership is definitely not easy
though!
Beside
than this, I would love to adopt a child and provide that child with loves,
cares and anything I afford just to make sure the child achieves everything.
The reason of doing this is because, I strongly believe that children will
always motivate and encourage us in our daily life. That child will become my
motivator and my strength of pillar one fine day. On top of that, I want to
gather my own assets such as buying a house and a car using my own money
without depending on anyone because I want to prove to everyone who once
thought that I will not achieve my dreams.
As
for conclusion, I will become a successful independent woman in 5 years’ time
no matter what the obstacles are and I strongly believe that my current
obstacles will become my future success if I never give up and believe in
myself because I am a fighter on my own.
2) What Do You See Yourself In 5 Years Time? Written by Nevettha
Hi …I’m Nevettha Rajan and 23 years old. “Who am I
going to be in next 5 years’ time” that will be the question that I ask myself
when I have completed my degree most probably end of this year. Currently I’m
doing Bachelor of Business Management (Hons) 2+0 in Segi College Penang, before
this I have completed my diploma in Business Administration for past 2 ½ year
and successfully finished it and step in to my degree. I am a hardworking and I have broad knowledge
in Business field. Other than that, I effectively associate with everyone and
my communication skills are sufficient. Next I'm a trustable individual and
legit to work I'm doing. My inspiration level is greatly high and ready to
offer inspiration to others. Here I will like to take this opportunity to share
about “what I’m going to do in coming 5years time”. There are few things that I
will like to achieve or better to tell as I want my life to be like in coming
5years time.
The
main thing that I will like to achieve is achieving my degree of honour as
that’s the reasons behind all kind of struggle I was facing for past 3 ½ years
in going to my diploma n degree. .However
I will surely be someone who is wishing a group of students or getting
wish from other as “ A wonderful Good morning ,students can we move on with our class today or maybe
in replay as “Good morning Miss”. I think u can guess where u can see me in 5
years’ time, yup u will see me as a secondary school teacher or even as a
lecturer who is responsible as a tutor to students who some are quite naughty
and maybe talkative almost all the time as u can see it in our class Miss
Kalai. HE…...HE…..Actually to share I were having few ambition as I know what’s
the meaning of the word AMBITION but my all in all favourite will be teaching or lecturing
The
second thing that I will like to achieve in between this 5 years is definitely
I want my own house together with my dream car HEHEHEHE….Eventhough in Indian
culture girls are send to their husbands house after getting married but I wish
to have my own house as a asset of my own hardworking so that I can stay in my
own house better then in my mother in laws house .I can live my life as I like
wake up late in holidays, not cleaning my room after wake up ,not cooking every
day, going for movie late night, nobody to question me….even future
husband he won’t cause only one reason
I’m his love. As for my favourite car I wish to use Honda City maybe go for new
vision.
The third thing that I like to share will be
regarding my future life .As and information I already got my charming prince
just waiting for a correct time to hold my hand. I’m also looking forward to
live my life with my love by starting it as loveable couple as husband and wife
planning about 2years to enjoy the maximum level then maybe in future wish to
have kids and I hope I can be more responsible in raising my kids be a super
and supportive mother to them by making their dreams come true in all kind of
aspect most important in education voice. As I have my better half with me who
is the backbone of me and my family I
can consider it won’t be a big trouble to rise my family up.
Finally, last but not list I will like to
visit Paris in between this 5 years’ time which is one of my favourite wish
that I’m looking forward to come true in my future. Actually visiting Paris was
one of my small time wish, Paris is well known as “City of Love”. There’s a lot
of wonderful place to be visit in Paris such as Eiffel Tower which is the
landmark with 324m-high and it is also a 19th century tower. Other than
that will be ‘The Louvre” which is a art gallery museum, other places will be
such as the “Sainthe Chapelle” which is a 13th century church with
its beautiful upper chapel is formed of
intricate stained glass windows and a richly decorated ceiling and many
other places as well.
As
a conclusion,5 years’ time is really means a lot to me. I have successfully
plan a clear goals for myself as I’m going to finish my degree soon .In this
upcoming 5 years I wish I will be able to achieve all my targeted goals has I
plan. I’m looking forward for the upcoming 5 years and also wish all my dream
comes true.
3) What Do You See Yourself In 5 Years Time? Written by Saranya
Where do I see myself in five years’ time?” I mentally
compare my life now to what I want my life to be like in five years.
I would have to say that I honestly do not know where I will
end up in my career in the next 5 years. Only time will be able to reveal the
truth in that. My plans for my career include many goals that I will have to
accomplish. I am unsure where my career will lead me in the future
geographically and work status. One of my goals for the future is to be happy
regardless of what I choose to do. I want to be satisfied with my decisions, to
be able to accept and forgive, and most of all to be able to live up to the
expectations I have for myself. I realize I cannot set my goals and dreams on
the basis of others and I need to achieve things for myself. I will only
accomplish my goal in being happy when I am able to live my life for myself and
still able to provide love and support to others.
The question ask by everyone to me is what
or who am I going to be in the next 5 years’ time? I asked the same question to
myself when I finish my school studies that was after my SPM. When I’m studying
in school I have an idea on what will my ambition and who want I to be in
future. My ambition is to be a lawyer but unlucky I was in Science Stream class,
I never bother about the streams and I passed all my subjects in SPM. Before I’m
waiting for result I work as promoter in supermarket. The works teach many
lessons in my life. After I works for 3 months later I got my result for SPM
and I went to college to further my studies. I can’t be a lawyer so I change my
studies career in business field. I studies my diploma in Business Administration
and know I’m doing Business Management in SEGi College Penang.
After
my college studies I would be graduated as Bachelor of Arts in Business
Management and in five years,
I see myself as a valued employee of a company. I want to be an expert at
my position and start training to be a manager in HRM Department. My goal is to
become a lead in five years. Although not everyone gets promoted to this
level, I believe I can achieve this goal through hard work. I would like
to see myself in a management position. I'm going to be learning and
gaining practical experience until then, but I know there are a lot of things
to learn, but I'm going to be working hard to achieve my goal. I believe
opportunities come to great workers and I'm going to try to be one of them. I will have more experience, where I am leading and
contributing my knowledge, skill and experience for every important decision in
the company and where I will give respect to everyone and they will give
respect to me and my suggestion. My future ambition is to become successfully Managing Director of the
company.
In
that time I will finish my master in Business Management. Maybe I will also
continue PHD as my future plan. This is my one of big ambition of my career to
success in my life. Other than, I will plan to do lawyer. It was my great
ambition to success in my life. Moreover as settle in life I will get good
salary depending on my background career and achievement. In 5 years I will be
in good status of my life with good job and good income to me and my family.
I
bring my parents to travel over around the world. I want makes them happy in
their life because they scarified their needs to me and my brothers. I want
them to live happily. Furthermore, I want to settle my life in foreign country.
Because I’m bored in this country and the climate. I want for new changes in my
life. I also want go all around the world trip to visit the beautiful
countries. My dreams to visit the historical countries and beautiful views of countries.
In future I want my husband have a good lifestyles and job to care the family.
My husband have to caring and lovely to me like my dad did to me. My husband
should have good habit, attitude and behaviour. I don’t want my husband have
bad habit such as smoking, drinking or other habit. I want him to be perfect
such as my dad. I want 2 kids in my life. I want a girl and a boy as my kids or
twins.

A good life is what everybody wants. But what does it
mean to have a good life? Everybody has different ideas of a good life. Some
people think more about themselves, others like to help people. Both are
examples of good life, but as long as you are happy with yourself, you are
having a good life. In my essays, I will like to share what or who am I going to
be in next 5 years’ time.
One of my biggest dreams is that I want
to own restaurant not only one but many restaurant all over the Malaysia. I
will make sure I become a successful businesswoman and make sure my restaurant
become one of world’s famous restaurants in future. Moreover, I have some great
ideas on how my future restaurants would be like such as I will make use of
high technologies in taking the customer’s orders other then that I have dream
to makeover my restaurant much more different compare from other restaurant
maybe from the makeover by building it in a unique shape and having a different atmosphere .Not
only offering Malaysian food I also like to offer more variety from different
countries such as Arab Saudi ,Dubai, Italy and many more variety. I learn some useful tips and skills from my
father as he is a restaurant owner. He is a good example and role model to me
as he is a responsible man towards his job and never gives up on his business.
Secondly I will like to have my own
unique modern bungalow in a beach area side more less near to Batu
Feringgi so that I will be waking up facing a wonderful sunset scenario in the
morning which will be a perfect morning for me as I’m a nature lover. In an
other hand many people like to buy a luxury cars but I’m more interested in
buying a “private jet’’ for my personal usage only. I will like to make both of
these dreams to come true only behalf of my hardworking and I never ever wish
it to be fulfill by depending on my parents. By having this private jet, I will
be able to travel around the world with my family easily and on any business
trip. It is convenient to me as I do not like things to get complicated and
hard.
Thirdly I will like to take care of my
family by taking a good care of my parents and
being responsible as a elder daughter
and a sister for three brother I
will make sure dedicated them well. Anyway in this 5 years time I also wish to
get married with my better half and form a happy family with having kids and
live together with my family happily.
Fourthly, I will like to fulfill my most
interesting wish which will be visiting Mecca to fulfill my spiritual prayer
over there with my better half. Besides, that
I will like to go around the world visiting many countries just not for
holiday but at the same time to learn more passion of food and beverage which
will be an advantage for expanding my business in future. I will like to visit
places like Arab Saudi ,Italy, Greece, and many more other countries to learn
more variety of food there have in their cuisine which can be a turn over for
me to expand my business in future and will be a afford to make my restaurant
much more famous around the world. So that Miss Kalai no need to go to other
countries just to eat their cuisine u can get it in my restaurant with special
offer …ha..ha..ha….
As a conclusion, I have to take of my
parents well as a elder daughter for them and have to take the responsible to
dedicated my 3 younger brothers. By achieving these goals, I will definitely
make my parents proud of me knowing that I will not easily give up in pursuing
my dreams. I wish my dream comes true in my future in 5 years time. At last I

5) What Do You See Yourself In 5 Years Time? Written by Ahpiramii
Before
I talk about my future, let me tell something about my past ambition when I was
a kid. When I was age 4 I was in kindergarten, that time my teacher asked me
what is my ambition and I said “I want
to be a teacher”. Later when I was in primary I said I want to be a teacher
and an engineer. In lower form I thought I’m going to be IT specialists and in
upper form I decided to work in hotel. In the first place, in order to achieve
my ambition I need to complete my SPM and get a good result. After the results
are out, I started to find the college that I can achieve my ambitions. So I
started to colleges and I got SEGi. When I went there and enquiry about the
course they told me to do business management so that I can work in the entire
field. Since it was my mother’s dream to do a MBA, I decided to go on with that
course and I’m here in my last year of my Degree.
“What do you see in five years’
time?” In five years’ time I will be age of 26 or 27, in
this age I will work in Management Company either in hotel or in an airlines.
At the same time I will be earning an income of RM5000 to RM8000, I will buy a
house which is a condominium and an affordable car like Perodua Myvi or
Volkswagen Beetle, to travel here and there with my family. Moreover, my mother
and my sister are my life who are there for me in all my difficulties and the
house I’m going buy its belong to them because once I get married, I cannot
bring my house together with me. Furthermore, as I am an Indian religion after
marriage I have live with my husband so I cannot bring my asset together, I
will gift it to my mother because she is the who raised and motivated me in all
my difficulties although my father is not that stable enough.
On
the other hand, I have another dream to open a bridal shop with my friend
Nevettha and my sister. In the meantime, I need to lose my weight and keep
myself healthy with good looking face in order to do the business. My interest
is on mehendi art drawing and do makeovers to the bridals or for any other
function. In present I do this business too with my partner in crime Nevettha.
My profession will stay same where I will be working in a Management company
but as a part time, I would like to open a shop so that I can be more stable in
doing business because we do not know how the economy is going to be I the
future. Sooner or later I will be continue doing my MBA programme because it is
one of my mother’s dreams and mine too. By doing MBA I could a higher position in workplace and can get higher
salary. Moreover, I want to go for a world tour with my family or with my
friends.
Beyond
all of this, the important event of my life is “THE MARRIAGE”. All the time I will be thinking should I get
married or should I single and enjoy my life. Then I have realized that by
being single is enjoyable but when I get aged what am I going to do. No one is
there for me to share the moment of my life, the assets to own, no one care for
me and many reason are there. If by getting married, I can have a family, with
husband, children, my in-laws and many other relations are there. Even though I
have any difficulties in my life, my husband and children are there for me to
support. By getting married we can get more benefits so I decided to get
married but not at this 27 years old but in the age of 30. Did I find the “MR.RIGHT” or the “MR.PERFECT’ ? The answer is NO!
In
summary, all ladies and men have the dream what they going to be in the future.
I have been questioned too and I have answered it. As the quotes in above image
